Liberal Celebrities: An American Tragedy

The list continues to grow, and I tire of hearing about it. I tire of the flippant remarks going unchallenged in the media, which is extremely skewed to the left. To what am I commenting on you ask? Celebrity wackos turned political activists. Who are members of this elite club? Streisand, Baldwin, , Glover, Hoffman, Clooney, Gere, "Baghdad Penn", Larry Hagman, Harrison Ford, Johnny Depp among others. These cockeyed liberal ideas are spreading to music celebrities such as The Dixie Chicks as well. And you ask Who Cares? Well I care for starters and you should also and I shall tell you why.

No where else in this great world is there a country which guarantees as many freedoms and personal liberties as America. America asks nothing for protecting these enherent freedoms for us, nothing that is except loyalty. The majority of citizens in this country are bestowed these rights simply because we were fortunate enough to have been BORN here, but what do we do with these privileges we take for granted on a daily basis? Nothing. We have become a society of left wing politically correct wimps, who have forgotten our past struggles for freedom. Freedom is not free, its fought for and paid with the blood of Americans who believed in their country. The liberal celebrities mentioned above seem intent to belittle and destroy the underpinnings of the American Society. Most other people voicing these same socialist opinions would not be given a second glance, however, these are Celebrities we are talking about and as such have been given (much to my chagrin) an elevated status in America. What does society get in return for this "pedestal" we have placed them on? Arrogance of course. They want to enlighten us. And I have to admit I am indeed enlightened; They are certainly changing my opinions, though not in the direction they intended.

Its true in America we have the right say and speak our minds and to do practically anything we want as long as it does not infringe on the rights of other citizens. We (meaning the country including the crazed whacked out celebrities) are given the right to protest the way our country operates, and even to protest our political leaders with out fear of retribution. We do NOT have the right to be disloyal to our country and its leaders. There are better ways to achieve change in this country if we are not satisfied with the status quo. Its a simple process called elections. Some celebrities are even going so far as to say their right to free speech is being trampled upon, and they are being called anti-American. Has it not ever occurred to them that when they open their mouths and make accusations as absurd as the ones they are spewing forth, they bring the criticism upon them selves? That the rights to speak freely, should in no way be confused with the "consequences" of executing this constitutional freedom. The public stands on its right to examine what is being said and extrapolate the meaning as being of value or the foolish drivel of the socialists in this country and to react in direct proportion. Tim Robbins would have us believe his and other Hollywierd celebrity's free speech rights are being stifled (just the fact that you can READ about what he has to say makes his arguments pretty foolish, void of any weight, and proves just the opposite is true) . Does he actually believe this? Of course not, since he was speaking public about it and was NOT being carried off in chains, however, he and the liberal left will not let something like a lie stop them from attempting to convince just one more person on the issue.

I do not care if these liberal celebrities voice their opinions because its one of those privileges I spoke of, but belittling this country and its leaders within WORLD forums borders on treason! Many celebrities are traveling to other countries, spouting off at the mouth (as if they were omnipotent) and flipping the finger in the face of America and in front of the world. If they have something to voice do it here in America, in legitimate forums not in Germany, England, Cuba, Russia or other places for the world to see. The remarks they make seldom go unchallenged by the media in general and society at large. It is therefore up to a few citizens of this country to bring to light their bias comments and expose them for what they are. These people are eccentric I realize, but if they think they are MORE qualified than the average American citizen about politics then perhaps the narcotics they are so fond of taking has made them delusional as well. Because of their higher profile they should be doing all they can to fortify the American spirit instead of making remarks like this while abroad. These celebrities do nothing for the morale of the American troops who are in a particularly dreadful position, instead they seem intent on destroying that morale in the name of liberal political correctness.

Being a traitor is defined as "giving aid and comfort to our enemies" and while their remarks fall short of the definition, if these self appointed political, celebrity, nut cases do not think they are fueling the hate for American then they are indeed misguided. If they think they are not giving comfort (with their remarks) to our antagonists, again, they are living on another plane of existence. They are in my opinion dangerously close to betraying the loyalty this country demands from each and every citizen who claims its freedom and protection as their own.

They for the most part are members of an extremely liberal group and as such believe you and I can not think for ourselves. They feel we need guidance, we can not control our lives and need their help on a daily basis, and certainly we have no ideal of politics with out their input. They believe in big governments and socialist ideology (Hollywood has been known to harbor communism since the earliest days), distributed wealth and on it goes, instead they are showing us how foolish and inept they are in all of these areas. If one listens to what comes out of their mouths and analyzes it sincerely, it's obvious they have a different agenda than Iraq. These liberals are not against a possible war per se, but rather vehemently against the current administration simply because it is conservative, Republican and actually has values. The rhetoric they spew are lies and simply can not be believed (the left's scenarios concerning the IRAQ war missed the mark time and time again). What were these elite members saying about the previous administration, which was extremely liberal, Democrat, and had a morally bankrupted president showing military force in Kosovo (which by the way took place without a UN resolution, without a debate and without authorization from the U.S. Congress)? It is plain to this writer that the these celebrities AND the extreme liberal left (of which they are members) would rather see hundreds of thousands of Iraqi men, women, and children dead in the streets from a dictators hands than to show one iota of support for their country since that would also mean standing by a Conservative President. Loyal Citizens? I think not. Need Proof ? Or how about reading this. Each of these celebrities are standing on their "free speech" privilege and spouting off hypocrisies in an attempt to divide this country's citizens, create class warfare, destroy family values, tell us how and what to think and obfuscate the real world issues with their propaganda and hate speeches. Sound like anything you may have read about in history books?

There is a way they can be free to speak their minds, in the manner they want, and in the forums they seek. I am talking about a way around this loyalty issue, and one I favor a good bit. These celebrities can denounce their citizenship to America. They can denounce their loyalty to this country and they can talk about how wrong it and its current administration is, and talk to their hearts content about how America is no better than the terrorists it has vowed to stop. I believe this is a better scenario than the one we have today. If these socialist celebrities HATE AMERICA so much, ban them to the MIDDLE EAST, or GERMANY or FRANCE where they can be among fellow America bashers. The citizens in these countries may not be fond of America and its way of life, but at least they are not two faced pompous fools masquerading as celebrities who take everything and give back nothing. Its interesting that I have not heard from Hanoi Jane in this current crisis we now find ourselves in. Huum, I wonder if some folks do eventually see the light? Naa, just making remarks is not doing enough to undermine this country in her opinion.

In closing, I want to state for the record that the country of Iraq is not America's enemy, however it's my opinion that its leader is as well as any terrorist group or any government that supports terrorist regimes. Perhaps one day the world will be able to see the difference, and with the banned American celebrities living in their countries they may well be on their way to enlightenment.

To read about the idiotic remarks by Hollywood elites (and these are not just outside America) and their attempts to belittle the country and its current administration visit Hollywoodhalfwits.com and you will see that many celebrities are doing their best to tear this country apart with their mendacious comments. Liberal extremists do not have the abilities to confront the issues with the truth because Americans are MORE and more becoming aware of what they stand for and their (leftist) politics of lies and destruction. I have to mention also that not ALL celebrities are left wing socialists. Three cheers for the likes of Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Tom Selleck, Dennis Miller, Charleton Heston and others for standing TALL in the midst of an American Tragedy.
